Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-288 |
Name | Anti-15-acetyl-deoxynivalenol mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-NAT-267 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | SPR, ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Fusarium species |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for mycotoxin 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol (15-AcDON). 15- Acetyldeoxynivalenol belongs to the class of type B trichothecene mycotoxins, generated by several Fusarium fungi. Deoxynivalenol (DON), along with 3-acetyl-deoxynivalenol (3-ADON) and 15- acetyldeoxynivalenol (15-ADON), occur in grains and cereal products and is often hazardous to humans and livestock. |
Alternative Name | 15-AcDON; DON; Mycotoxin; Deoxynivalenol; Vomitoxin, Fusarium mycotoxin; mNAT-267; NAT-267; ChEBI: 10022 |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunization of a llama (Llama glama) with the protein conjugate 15-DON-BSA in a TiterMax Classic adjuvant. |
Application Notes | This antibody can bind 15-AcDON in a competitive direct enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (CD-ELISA) and fluorescence polarization assay (FPA). This antibody does not cross react with DON; 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3-AcDON); neosolaniol (NEO); diacetoxyscirpenol (DAS); and T-2 toxin. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis of soluble NAT-267 binding kinetics to immobilized 15- DON-Horse Radish Peroxidase (HRP) indicated a dissociation constant KD of 5microM (PMID: 18632156). |

Note on publication | Describes the generation of a llama single-domain antibody fragment specific to the mycotoxin 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol. |
