Specificity
This antibody is specific for human claudin-18.2 and does not cross react with claudin-18.1. Alterations in claudin expression can impair tight junction function, influence signaling pathways, and act as a tumor-promoting event in some epithelial cancers. Claudin 18.2 is overexpressed in various tumor type and is found to be a potentially important target in advanced gastric cancer.
