Specificity
This antibody is capable of binding human cytokeratin 7. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 7 blocks interferon- dependent interphase and stimulates DNA synthesis in cells. It is involved in the translational regulation of the human papillomavirus type 16 E7 mRNA.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing 4-6 weeks old female ICR mice with recombinant human cytokeratin 7 peptide in equal volume of Freund's non-complete adjuvant.
Application Notes
This antibody can recognize human cytokeratin 7 in an ELISA and western blot. This antibody was used in the immunohistochemical staining paraffin frozen sections of placental trophoblasts and breast cancer tissues (CN113061184).
