Specificity
This antibody is specific for Dynein Light Chain Tctex-Type 3 (DYNLT1). Dynein Light Chain Tctex-Type 3 acts as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are thought to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. Cytoplasmic dynein 1 acts as a motor for the intracellular retrograde motility of vesicles and organelles along microtubules. Probably binds BUB3 as part of transport cargo. Required for the efficient progression through mitosis (By similarity).

Immunogen
The light chain-myosin basic protein fusion protein was expressed in bacteria and the purified fusion protein was injected into mice to generate the monoclonal antibody.
Application Notes
The antibody has been used for immunofluorescence on PC12 cell neurites (Ha et al, 2008; pmid:18559670). Western blot has been performed on PC12 cells using this antibody (Ha et al, 2008; pmid:18559670). It was used for immunoprecipitation on the bacteria expressing the GST fusion proteins (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17965411). The antibody was used for immunoblot assays on bacteria expressing the GST fusion proteins as well (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17965411). Mitotic NRK cell lysate has been used for immunoprecipitation with this antibody (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17289665). Immunoblotting was preformed on Mitotic NRK cell lysate with this antibody (Lo et al, 2007; pmid:17289665). PC12 cell lines were used for a western blot with this antibody (Myers et al, 2007; pmid:17279546). Immunofluorescence was preformed on PC12 cell lines with this antibody (Myers et al, 2007; pmid:17279546).
