This antibody recognises domain III of the DENV envelope (E) protein. It has been shown that DVC21 is cross-reactive to all 4 DENV serotypes.

Antibody DVC21 was isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells collected from a patient diagnosed with dengue infection.
Application Notes
DVC21 has been used in cell-based assays and was shown to exhibit both neutralisation and antibody-dependent enhancing activity using primary human monocytes (Kou et al, 2011). This antibody has also been characterised as EDIII-specific by ELISA and Western blot (Beltramello et al, 2010).
