MABL-1527
Application
IP
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Bovine, Rat, Human
Clone No.
JS28/32
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is specific for human, bovine and rat estrogen receptor. The different molecular forms of the estrogen receptor also showed no difference in binding affinity. The estrogen receptor is a nuclear hormone receptor. The steroid hormones and their receptors are involved in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues.
Alternative Names
ER; ER-alpha; Estradiol receptor; Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group A member 1
UniProt
P49884
Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunizing Balb/c mice with bovine estrogen receptor purified from calf uterus.
Application Notes
Aliquots of 16a- [ 125I]iodo17P-estradiol-labeled receptor were immunoprecipitated with the mouse version of this antibody. This was done to characterize the antibody (Moncharmont et al, 1982; pmid:7159574).

Note on publication
Hybridoma cells have been produced by fusing SP2/O-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a mouse immunized with a purified preparation of estrogen receptor from calf uterus.
