Cat. No.
MABL-1576
Application
IP, ELISA
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
H107
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds the H subunit of human ferritin. This protein catalyzes the oxidation of ferrous iron(II) to ferric iron(III) and stores iron in a soluble, non-toxic, readily available form. Ferritin is important for iron homeostasis.
Alternative Names
FTH1; FTHL6; Ferritin heavy chain; Ferritin H subunit
UniProt
P02794
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with human heart ferritin.
Application Notes
The binding characterization of this antibody for H subunit of ferritin was done using ELISA and immunoprecipitation (PMID: 3089283).
