Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by intradermal immunization of BALB/cJ mice with sub- lethal dose of Francisella tularensis holarctica strain LVS followed by intraperitoneal booster immunization with an outer membrane- or capsule-enriched LVS preparation.
Application Notes
This antibody is recommended for the detection of the O anitgen of F. tularensis through ELISA. It is reported to react with high molecular weight F. tularensis lipopolysaccharide chains in a western bloy assay. In a mouse model of respiratory tularemia with the highly virulent Ft type A strain SchuS4, this antibody reduced blood bacterial burden with potencies that mirror its antigen-binding strength. N203 prolonged survival in a dose dependent manner. This clone is a less potent binder than Ab52 (PMID： 25171003).
