Specificity
The anti-GA24/19 monoclonal antibody showed specific reactivity to GA24, GA19 and GA15. These are precursors to bioactive gibberellins.

An scFv was prepared by generating a hybridoma cell line which produced an anti GA24/19 monoclonal antibody, from which the antibody genes were cloned to construct an anti-GA14/19 scFv gene.
Application Notes
RIA demonstrated the specific binding of A24 to GA24. The sequence was cloned into expression cassettes for expression in tobacco plants; these plants showed reduced growth (shorter stature) (Shimada et al, 1999).
