Application Notes
ELISA demonstrated that 1621 binds full length human ghrelin independent of its acylation status, and binds poorly to rat ghrelin. The in vitro FLIPR Calcium Assay system was used to show that 1621 binds residues 4-20 of human ghrelin. Using SPR, the Kd of 1621 binding to acylated human ghrelin was determined as 6.80 x 10^-10 M; the Kd of 162 binding to deacylated human ghrelin was determined as 1.74 x 10^-9 M.
