Cat. No.
MABL-1769
Application
crystallization, ELISA
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Influenza A virus
Clone No.
641 I-9
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
The antibody binds to the head of the hemagglutinin (HA) in the RBS region. HA is one of two glycoproteins on the virion surface and it mediates entry of the virus into a host cell by engaging its receptor, sialic acid. HA also catalyzes the merging of viral and cellular membranes necessary to establish infection.
Alternative Names
Hemagglutinin
UniProt
A7UPX0
Immunogen
Application Notes
The crystal structure of the antibody in complex with Hemagglutinin was determined. The neutralization activity of the antibody for H1 Solomon Islands/03/2006 wild-type or a virus with resistance mutation G189D was tested (IC50= 0,0018 and 0,0302 ug/ml). The specificity of the antibody was determined by ELISA (Schmidt et al., 2015; PMID: 25959776).
