Specificity
The antibody is specific for human, mouse and simian IL-25. IL-25 is a cytokine that belongs to the IL-17 cytokine family and is secreted by type 2 helper T cells and mast cells. IL-25 induces the production of other cytokines, including IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13, in multiple tissues and stimulates the expansion of eosinophils.

Application Notes
The original antibody could neutralize recombinant human IL-25 activity in HT-29 cells; the affinity of the antibody for IL-25 were measured using Surface Plasma Resonance (Kd = 24 pM).
