Specificity
The antibody is specific for ITGA3. ITGA3 is a receptor for fibronectin, laminin, collagen, epiligrin, thrombospondin and CSPG4. ITGA3 provides a docking site for FAP (seprase) at invadopodia plasma membranes in a collagen-dependent manner and hence may participate in the adhesion, formation of invadopodia and matrix degradation processes, promoting cell invasion.

The original antibody was isolated by panning a phage display library against ITGA3.
Application Notes
This antibody was used for detection of ITGA3 by flow cytometry. The IgG1 format of the antibody specifically bound to the cancer cells expressing ITGA3 (HLF and ACHN) and then expresses the ADCC activity. The antibody could detect ITGA3 in undifferentiated hepatic cell carcinoma cell line HLF, ovarian cancer cell line SKOv3, kidney cancer cell line ACHN, kidney cancer cell line Caki-1, breast cancer cell line BT474, pulmonary adenocarcinoma cell line PC14, kidney cancer cell line CCFRC1, ovarian cancer cell line SKOv3 and 040520IT by FACS (US9388249B2).
