Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing a two-year-old adult male L. glama with increasing doses of B. atrox venom, followed by a VHH library construction and panning against partially purified hemorrhagic and myotoxic proteins.
Application Notes
The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The original antibody was able to decrease myonecrosis induced by the whole venom, as evaluated by the CK activity levels in plasma (Calderon et al., 2020; PMID: 32457735).
