IB, Liposome lysis assay, IF
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
8C2
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
8C2 does not bind PI-4,5-P2, PI-3,4-P2, or PI-4-P2 and is specific towards PI-3,4-P2. It also does not bind PC, PE, PS, PA, PI.
Alternative Names
PtdIns(3,4)P2; PI-3,4-P2; PIP2
UniProt
Immunogen
Salmonella minnesota cells were coated with 10 μg of PI 3,4‐P2 and injected into mice. Hybridomas were formed by fusion with SP2/0 cells, and the hybridoma supernatants screened for antibodies against PI 3,4‐P2 by a liposome lysis assay.
Application Notes
Liposome lysis assays established that 8C2 does not bind to PI-4-P, PI-4,5-P2 or PIP3 molecules. This was also confirmed by a dot-blot assay. 8C2 was used to stain 293T cells for PI-3,4-P2 with a second antibody conjugated with FITC.
