Immunogen
The original antibody was generated using outer membrane protein preparations from Neisseria meningitidis as immunogen.
Application Notes
This antibody was used for the identification of PorA subtypes P1.4 using western blot. Antigenicity of the P1.4 epitope of PorA P1.7-2,4 in outer membrane vesicles and liposomes was tested by an inhibition ELISA (PMID； 14741154). This antibody is also reported to be highly bactericidal and was used as a positive control in a serum bactericidal assay (PMID: 14741154).
