Specificity
This antibody binds the A subunit of Shiga-like toxin 2. Stx2 is a toxin produced by Shiga toxin (Stx)-producing E. coli (STEC) strains. Infections with STEC can lead to diarrhea, hemorrhagic colitis, and hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS).

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with StxII protein mixed with an equal volume of Freund’s complete adjuvant.
Application Notes
This antibody can be used as a detection antibody in the detection of shiga like toxin 2 subunit A in a sample using double antibody sandwich ELISA. The capture can be done using S2D8 antibody (Shi et al, 2016; CN103235140).
