Description
PLGF2 Human Recombinant (19-170 a.a.) produced in CHO is a disulfide-linked homodimeric, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 152 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 33kDa. The PLGF-2 Human Recombinant protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction
PLGF is a growth factor active in angiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to receptor vegfr-1/flt1. PLGF-2 binds neuropilin-1 and 2 in a heparin-dependent manner.

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Formulation
PLGF-2 protein was lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered solution in HCl.
Stability
Lyophilized PLGF-2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution PLGF2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Biological Activity
The ED 50 , as measured in a cell proliferation assay using MDA?MB?231 cells is less than 10µg/ml.

Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized PLGF2 at 200µg/ml in PBS, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
