Immunogen | The original antibody was raised by panning VEGF against a recombinant human antibody library containing 4.25 × 108 scFvs from non-immunized healthy donors^. |
Application Notes | The original antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on VEGF. This showed the binding affinity of the antibody to its antigen. This antibody was tested in vitro. It was assessed in a VEGF-stimulated HUVEC mitogenesis, it showed it was able to inhibit HUVEC proliferation in a dose dependent matter. This antibody was used for inhibition of VEGF-KDR binding. It showed that it was able to inhibit the binding. This antibody was used for an ELISA on different peptides of its antigen to determine its epitope (Lamdan et al., 2011; PMID:21167224, Lamdan et al., 2013; PMID:23702826). |

Note on publication | The oriused a human VEGF variant containing three mutations in the region recognized by Bevacizumab to direct antibody selection towards recognition of other epitopes. |
