Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
PD7/26
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody recognises CD45RB which is a transmembrane tyrosine phosphatase that is present on all leukocytes and regulates the threshold of T cell antigen receptor signaling. There are multiple CD45R isoforms resulting from the alternative splicing of this gene. PD7/26 antibody binds to the exon 5.
Alternative Names
Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase C; PTPRC; Leukocyte common antigen; L-CA; T200; CD45; CD45R; LY5; T200 glycoprotein; T200 leukocyte common antigen
UniProt

Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising Balb/c mice with cells from a human peripheral- blood lymphocyte line maintained in T-cell growth factor.
Application Notes
This antibody has been widely used in the identification of leukocytes (as CD45 is a pan-leukocyte marker) and lymphatic tumours in paraffin-embedded tissue sections. For instance, one group utilised it during the morphological characterisation of patient-derived xenografts via immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples (Chijiwa et al., 2015). Another group used this antibody for immunofluorescence staining of similarly prepared fibroblast samples in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (Brand et al., 2015). Finally, Deckert-Schlüter and colleagues (1998) used PD7/26 antibody when researching primary CNS lymphomas.
