Application
WB, ELISA, IHC
Isotype
Engineer antibody

From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is specific for human cytokeratin 17. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 17 regulates the activity of kinases such as PKC and SRC via binding to integrin beta-1 (ITB1) and the receptor of activated protein C kinase 1 (RACK1).
Alternative Names
CK17; CK-17; KRT17; K17; Keratin; type I cytoskeletal 17; Cytokeratin-17; Keratin-17
UniProt
Q04695
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by panning a semisynthetic phage display library against human epidermal keratin extracted from psoriatic scales.
Application Notes
The binding of this antibody to human cytokeratin 17 was checked using ELISA. This antibody can be used for the identification of human cytokeratin 17 by immunohistochemistry and western blotting (PMID: 15340746).
