This antibody binds to Taq-polymerase, a   thermostable DNA polymerase from a therophilic bacterium frequently used in  PCR as its optimum temperature is about 75-80°C and is still active at   temperatures up to 92.5°C. The antibody competes with DNA for Taq-binding.
